Born in the quiet of the pandemic, We Are Amsterdam began as a street project capturing everyday faces and their heartbeat for the city. Now it returns as a living installation — inspired by Lennon & Ono’s Bed-In — inviting strangers to lie down, be seen, and become part of a growing portrait of place.

We will bring the Spirit of a City to more cities in the world. Paris, London, Berlin, Tokyo, New York. Every city has it's own heartbeat and we will create a snapshot of it. Doing everything AI can not do - laugh together, experience together, feel together. Get inspired and connect!
The Bed will travel with us. A symbol of peace, slowing down to look around us. Our partners will be photographed by photographer Anna-Luisa Ballauf and get the opportunity to become part of the art installation in your city.
