Born in the quiet of the pandemic, We Are Amsterdam began as a street project capturing everyday faces and the heartbeat of the city. What started as a photographic exploration has since evolved into a living cultural platform.

Today, our work moves between installations, gatherings, books, and documentary storytelling, where strangers, artists, and brands come together to reimagine iconic moments as the stage for a city’s story.

WeAreEvents. is a traveling cultural platform working with symbolic objects, human rituals, and shared space, in a world that moves faster than ever.

Through immersive experiences, we invite people together with institutions to slow down, be present, and connect not only as spectators but as participants in a larger cultural narrative.
Each edition adapts to its city, its moment, and its people.
Beyond physical events, We Are develops cultural projects, photographic works, and documentary stories that live on through publishing, film, and visual archives.

We rest in them, dream in them, fall in love, argue, recover, create.
Some of the most important conversations of our lives happen lying down, when we relax.

We Are Amsterdam reimagines the bed as a public space - a cultural object placed into the city. Into churches, rooftops, hotels, streets, institutions. Wherever the bed appears, something happens.

The bed becomes a stage.
A listening space.
A place where people pause - and are seen.

The bed is no longer about retreat, but about presence. Each city invites people into it: artists, thinkers, locals, partners, passersby. They lie down, sit, talk, create, and are photographed. A growing visual archive forms.
